I'm asking how cultural taboos developed, because at some point we were monkeys that didn't have those taboos. I personally find the idea of having sex with a dog to be extremely gross, but 'gross' is a bad reason to take and run with, as I'm sure you know

I'm down for consent as an argument as long as we're consistent regarding other areas like artificial insemination (where we masturbate animals for their semen to force breeding). If it's applied across the board then yes, valid argument.
