I think the 90s had more of an attitude of "you don't need to validate someone's worldview to tolerate them", and that to me feels like a better norm. Nowadays I feel there's a lot of pressure to validate, and it's even crept into HR codes and conference codes of conduct.

I’m leaning towards 90s too on some areas but I also recall the pretty extreme homophobia of even the early 2010s and have second thoughts, as usual it’s hard to answer these polls given only 4 options (which I understand is Twitter’s limit)
