If I had to guess, I'd say that: Fairness, in the sense of proportionality (people get what earn), is more masculine. Fairness, in the sense of alleviating the suffering of those worst off, is more feminine.

I took fairness to mean equality of outcome in contrast with justice, which I'd say is equality of evaluation (different from opportunity due to starting resource and ability).
