When someone says #IAmNonbinary, your gut intuitive process registers this primarily as:
A) A desire to signal that they have traits/preferences atypical for their birth sex ('man likes skirts')
B) They are neither male nor female
C) This is a symptom of trauma or mental illness

Why is this even a question? Non-binary literally means that they're not in the traditional gender binary? So obviously b? What is wrong with you?

I mean I guess you think it's obviously B but among my followers this view is the minority

In a sense, this says less about the term non-binary than it does about your audience's level of familiarity with and insight into the non-binary experience. That is, outside of their intuition and surface level appraisal of an unusual and strange-seeming phenomenon.
