i sometimes teach dance and a lot of 'not being good at it' is imo the amount of fear stuck into your limbs and muscles. You can just see it, like this mental hangup that's restricting what the body can do. I've been slowly trying to rework my classes into addressing that first.

I can totally relate to that. I learned to dance rock, waltz, cha-cha and other dances but you will never see me on the dance floor. I'm definitely not confortable enough for that.
