I think the argument for positive would be that colonizers usually brought technology and medicine with them, and often abolished some bad practices (e.g. human sacrifice)

When White people came to NZ they did abolish some bad practises, such as cannibalism, but they also bought child abuse, homophobia, transphobia, and individualism, as well as destroying much of our culture, and stealing most of our land
