Imo poly means "Down with having multiple loves." If you're dating 2 people and one of them breaks up with you, you don't suddenly stop being poly. I'm dating 1 person right now but am 100% full blood completely polyamorous.

It can! My definition of poly, strictly speaking, is "I'm okay if my partner wants to go out and love/fuck someone else." Some poly people only end up dating each other due to circumstance.
