Respect Muslims. Love Muslims. Invite them to be your neighbors, your friends. Be a champion for their rights, oppose anti-Muslim hate. You don't have to believe the same things Muslims believe to do this. That would be ridiculous. I feel similarly about trans people.

It doesn't matter if you share their models on gender or not, or their models on themselves - you don't have to agree with each other in order to treat them as they want to be treated, or to fight hate together, or to show respect and love.

I personally believe that the vast majority of trans people experience legitimate gender dysphoria, and I support treatment by transition. I don't know if I agree with the further philosophical implications of gender, which feels grey and fuzzy! But I still support them.

It's easy to find things that support your own position, so forgive me if I'm not that excited about reading your choices. I would be interested in reading a debate or discussion between two opposing people done in good faith.
