Respect Muslims. Love Muslims. Invite them to be your neighbors, your friends. Be a champion for their rights, oppose anti-Muslim hate.
You don't have to believe the same things Muslims believe to do this. That would be ridiculous.
I feel similarly about trans people.

It doesn't matter if you share their models on gender or not, or their models on themselves - you don't have to agree with each other in order to treat them as they want to be treated, or to fight hate together, or to show respect and love.

I personally believe that the vast majority of trans people experience legitimate gender dysphoria, and I support treatment by transition.
I don't know if I agree with the further philosophical implications of gender, which feels grey and fuzzy! But I still support them.

I don't understand why disagreeing with Islam is seen so bad. "Muslim" is not a race, it's a religion and I think almost all religion is stupid already. Why is it suddenly this evil thing when it's about Islam? I don't respect their beliefs, because I think they're nonsensical.

This is what America is about and this is what “mi familia de inmigrantes” ✊🏽taught me
But It seems that many Muslims want to turn the US like the same countries they left. Let’s also be real you don’t hear about Christians throwing gays of buildings.

Respect for individuals should be reserved for individuals who have earned it. Respect for ideas should only be given to ideas you deem worthy. Obviously treat people with common decency but a blanket respect for all renders respect meaningless.

24% of British Muslims, when asked, said they were ‘sympathetic’ to the Charlie Hebdo attackers. 78% said the Danish cartoonists who depicted Mohammed should be prosecuted.

It is not beliefs that are the core of the disagreement, it is actions. In both cases.
