Peace comes from lack of fear, and lack of fear comes from continuously inhabiting the reality of that you're afraid of; incorporate your pain as an ongoing part of you, and you will be fearless
Inhabit any polarity; become an identity while also becoming it's opposite; be both the student and the teacher, the idiot and the genius, the weak and the strong, the enlightened and unenlightened. Become unafraid of both insult and crown
Become familiar with the sensation of thought, the visceral felt experience of holding a belief, like moving an object in your fingers. Experience your belief as dance, as a expression; loosen your grasp on it as a tool to control - what are you afraid of?
Stop thinking. Don't stop thinking. Change your relationship to thinking. Step outside your relationship to thinking. Stop taking orders from me. Stop listening to me. Stop stopping doing things. Get seriously confused. Confusion induces helplessness; it's good to be helpless.
Don't think you know. Don't think, you know!
The things we think we know are invisible to us, like a room you've lived in forever. So stop knowing. Know less, know nothing. Every word you speak is a lie. Everything your mind grasps is sand.
“Don't be afraid to be confused. Try to remain permanently confused. Anything is possible. Stay open, forever, so open it hurts, and then open up some more, until the day you die, world without end, amen.”
- George Saunders
Now that you've stopped stopping, start again. You've been stopping too many stops and now you're doing too much. Hurry! Simplify! There's no time to waste! If you aren't stressed out about this you should be!
(Don't listen to me btw. Listen but don't follow along.)
