I absolutely think a lot (most? nearly all?) trans people are trans because of default brain wiring or something, but I wonder what percentage are MtF cause they felt like they could never be a successful man, and because there's a clear community/path to acceptance for trans ppl

I'm down with the percentage being extremely low (0.001%)? but i mean in the comments below someone's saying it's the case for them, so unless you think they're lying there's at least 1 person out there.

So what if there’s a small percentage? Are you saying that trans people should be denied care just because there’s a chance that very small number are transitioning for bad reasons?

Absolutely not, I don't think trans people should be denied care, I have never once said that. Just because a small percentage has social reasons for changing doesn't negate the majority who are legitimately trans.

I hadn't heard anybody talk about it before, and I was generally curious about it. It's also interesting in regards to how the psychology behind the coping strategies of very lonely men and culture's pressures on masculinity.
