I absolutely think a lot (most? nearly all?) trans people are trans because of default brain wiring or something, but I wonder what percentage are MtF cause they felt like they could never be a successful man, and because there's a clear community/path to acceptance for trans ppl

Not that trans people have automatic community, especially in certain areas of the world, but that there is some visible and clear narrative around being a successful, accepted trans person that might appear to be more easily achievable than being a successful man, for some.

Very possible! Cultures can be extremely different even in very close locations.

FWIW, I think you're onto something with the general idea, just maybe not necessarily about MtFs. There are a lot of anxious men who worry they will never achieve enough to be accepted or loved by anyone, and many do try to avoid this by pursuing "other" lives in various ways.
