I absolutely think a lot (most? nearly all?) trans people are trans because of default brain wiring or something, but I wonder what percentage are MtF cause they felt like they could never be a successful man, and because there's a clear community/path to acceptance for trans ppl

I'm down with the percentage being extremely low (0.001%)? but i mean in the comments below someone's saying it's the case for them, so unless you think they're lying there's at least 1 person out there.

Also, I don't understand the pushback around this. If there's a small percentage of people becoming trans for other reasons, that seems like it would be insulting/threatening to real trans people, and wouldn't you want to call this out?

what's insulting is clueless mopes with big social media platforms wandering into touchy subjects the trans community can work out on our own

So to be clear you're suggesting that we seek out this tiny group of people who may or may not even exist in order to oust them for being fake trans? We've got enough internecine conflict without your concern trolling thanx

It's not insulting of threatening to us. If someone needs a place to feel safe and that place is in the trans community, then we should welcome them and help them. If someone needs to escape from toxic masculine expectations, they need support too.

because we live in a time when a very real rhetorical tool used against trans women is that we are failed men. and this ONLY serves to reinforce that. it's not a discussion with someone, it's public forum where you're making declarations based on very little

I'm implying that in some rare circumstances, the idealization of some very attractive trans women might be an appealing thing for an extremely unhappy incel-type men. This seems like not a totally insane thing to think might possibly happen, rarely.

If you don't understand why you're getting pushback then I recommend some self reflection and more research into how harmful claiming trans people are "failed men/women" actually is
