I absolutely think a lot (most? nearly all?) trans people are trans because of default brain wiring or something, but I wonder what percentage are MtF cause they felt like they could never be a successful man, and because there's a clear community/path to acceptance for trans ppl

Where I’m from, trans people are mocked, ridiculed and abused to such a degree that volunteering for that seems unhinged. If you’re an unsuccessful man in search of community it’s easier to be an incel

This def seems true in lots of communities yes. But I asked this question after reading some ex-trans people talking about how the community of trans people was a draw for them, so it's not the case *everywhere*.

Most trans communities that I’m aware of prioritize intersectionality over gatekeeping due in part to being composed largely of people who have struggled with resolving their gender identity. The idea of “actual trans” v not doesn’t protect people.
