I absolutely think a lot (most? nearly all?) trans people are trans because of default brain wiring or something, but I wonder what percentage are MtF cause they felt like they could never be a successful man, and because there's a clear community/path to acceptance for trans ppl

Where I’m from, trans people are mocked, ridiculed and abused to such a degree that volunteering for that seems unhinged. If you’re an unsuccessful man in search of community it’s easier to be an incel

This def seems true in lots of communities yes. But I asked this question after reading some ex-trans people talking about how the community of trans people was a draw for them, so it's not the case *everywhere*.

Hmm. Most detransitioners experiment for a while and then get "off the train", which I think is a healthy behavior for any developing human. I think this mostly provides evidence for "People who aren't interested in transition quickly desist when the rubber hits the road."
