I've been trying to interview 'enlightened' people and it's so hard because people's relationship with that word is extremely fucky. People are like "yes i am basically everything described by enlightenment but no i'm not enlightened" and I *get* it but it makes this hard

You really need to read Spiritually Incorrect Enligtenment by Jed Mckenna if you haven't already. That answered *a lot* of questions I had about enlightenment in an extremely no-bullshit way. 10/10

I started reading this and so far I'm enlightened according to him, and so are several people I've interviewed, and also his attitude is unpleasant

I thought his attitude was refreshingly honest, especially given that straightforward answers re spirituality are so hard to come by I'm curious, what is it about his attitude that you find unpleasant? If it's too unpleasant but you still want a TL;DR :p
