I can walk ~25 minutes in a very comfortable pair of high heels in about one day, and stand for about ~1 hour, before I'm ready to die. Is this normal? Are heels supposed to be better than this?

Is it the height or the shape of different muscles that change?

But why? For the butt effects?

for butt effects, for fun of dressing up, for emphasizing sexiness during key periods where this is important, for looking professional, for impressing people when dancing

What if you were dangled just above the ground from a drone by a very strong transparent cord?

Huh. I’ve been honestly fine with a couple random pairs of heeled boots I got second-hand. Quite comfy for walking. I’ve had less luck with shoes. Maybe the key is the spread of the force around the foot? Could be a gait thing as well or an anatomy thing, ankle strength maybe.

I've had a bit better luck with boots, they tend to be generally more cushiony everywhere. They also tend to have slightly shorter heels.
