Suddenly, tech gets invented that can bring back people from the dead, given sufficient DNA and memory records. Does anyone have any obligation to return these people's original wealth back to them (e.g., house, clothing, savings), and if so, who should be responsible for this?

Assuming the deceased properly settled wealth distribution via will and deed, I don’t see how it would be fair to redistribute their wealth after resurrection? Can’t have it both ways. Start again!

No. No obligation. But I dont want this tech to exist with the current people in power. Juat imagining Reagan and Nixon come back and somewhere in Asia General Mao is being resurrected for another campaign of genocide.

If they died very recently, probably. This should be the responsibility of whoever brought them back, which is one reason why bringing people back should be rare If not, they’re a new person. They should get government assistance, considering their unlucky situation

No, that would be considered a clone. For which there can be multiple. You can only claim your original wealth if nobody knows you are a clone.
