I've been trying to interview 'enlightened' people and it's so hard because people's relationship with that word is extremely fucky. People are like "yes i am basically everything described by enlightenment but no i'm not enlightened" and I *get* it but it makes this hard

Like, the point of my project right now is to try to map out the different things people mean with that word, not to find the "correct" enlightenment.

Persistent lived experience of no-self (Jed McKenna) or persistent lived experience of something far greater than the self (Daoist / Mystic).

I think I can help you prove why the state cannot be defined by language. Also, it is experience-able, as in "not complex but unfamiliar" to most minds.
-
But I won't reveal for your bestseller self-help. I will help you if you are a human in pain, as in, Neitzsche about to prove 'enlightenment is dead'.

hey I'd be willing to share ideas. did a lot of research into buddhism back in the day. quick hits: -it's potentially achievable in months -practitioners at that level actually get "re-enlightened" multiple times -enlightenment is maybe not worth it
