The sexual marketplace is full of antagonistic discourse; e.g. sex workers forums discussion of clients is mostly negative/disdainful, and pick up artistry forums get kinda scary kinda fast.

This is not my experience at all! Granted I've only been doing this for a little bit, but people who are positive far outweigh people who are negative. Yes, I have had a few negative comments, but they were laughably easy to ignore, and I like everybody I talk to.

to clarify, I think the clients/members/customers of sex work are generally more respectful than the sex workers themselves are, at least on average (you can definitely find exceptions to this)

Not based on what I've seen? Maybe that's true in certain sections of the internet, but 'in general' in stuff like e.g. twitter discourse, clients tend to be very supportive and sex workers very demanding.

I appreciate that being honest and upfront about your desires and intentions can get you exactly what you want from the opposite sex in a mutual and open way. Funny how we often resort to clandestine tactics (both genders) and end up not getting what we wanted.
