I've long wanted some explanation like this to explain why I seem to have largely escaped experiencing discrimination and sexual harassment, but this is just saying the opposite.

1/n Women who report having personally experienced gender discrimination score significantly higher on neuroticism and openness, and significantly lower on conscientiousness than women that report no such discrimination.

I mean the opposite because I score very high on openness and very low on conscientiousness, which predicts I should be more likely to report having experienced discrimination. I am pretty low on neuroticism tho.

My guess is that it is more about reason and perception than experience. It's likely because your view of what constitute discrimination and sexual harrassment is more reasonable. Some women who had the exact same life experience might be screaming "Patriarchy!" all the time.

I score high on openness and neuroticism and middle on conscientiousness, have basically never experienced discrimination/sexual harassment, and don't believe in psych/sociology research results until replication.
