The argument that feminism *is* also men's rights, really bothers me. All feminists are against female genital mutilation, but you can find a lot of them who've genitally mutilated their own sons.

As far as I know, FGM is designed to reduce/eliminate pleasure for the female. Circumcision doesn't do that. Granted, I don't see much benefit from circumcision, but i don't think it is punitive, rather archaic

Circumcision was popularized as an antimasturbatory thing, and it does actually make it harder to masturbate - as I can attest, having given handjobs to a good sample size from each category.

But for this to constitute a contradiction of the claim that feminism advocates also for men’s rights, the feminist parent in question would have to have “makes it harder to masturbate” as a primary reason for circumcising. And that’s not the case.
