Boys - trade school or military. Girls - 2-year well paid field, nursing etc. City colleges are mostly not infected by the PC/SJW nonsense. If any of them can get into a top tier college then do it. Otherwise, no. Especially no if they'd have to take on debt.

No guy nurses or girls in the military? May I ask why, if that's what your child expresses interest in?

No for education, yes for community

If they wanted to take after me and my career goals (how I interpreted the question), then a strong yes.

I would want it to be their decision. I do not recommend going just because "that what comes/is expected after highschool"

I’m assuming their wants are most probably not going to be aligned with mine
I’d want them to know that my personal feelings about it are “ew”, and/but I’d want them to talk to other adults about it too, and that I’d encourage them to decide what’s best for themThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

i have a degree, and two minors. not using it for work. i think its a good idea to learn critical thinking, and how to properly search, and pick out correct sources. would strongly suggest going to college some time in his life. earlier better if possible.

I want them to go to college only if they have a clear goal of what they want to do there. Otherwise, it seems like college is a trap.

It depends on a lot of things. Trade school or 2+2 CC and state schools are great low cost options. It will also depend on how much signaling value an elite education has in the future. I went to college twice and I definitely got a lot more out of it the 2nd time.

If my kid didn’t know what they wanted to major in or if they wanted to go to college I would advise them to work for a few years until they know what they want to do. It helped me a lot.
