get through this procedure. They used topical numbing cream, *and* I was on 2mg lorazepam, but that still didn't work. Does anybody have any suggestions, even if creative or hard to pull off? I'm kinda desperate.

im starting to get sick of it, it's kind of severe. I've had it as long as I can remember and am 27. i sometimes can't open smooth doorknobs. sometimes i slip if i'm walking barefoot on hard ground. sweat just drips down out of my armpits like, all the time.

Have you tried Iontophoresis instead? I suppose you could ask your doctor to offset your needle phobia with general anesthesia or use your own anxiolytics. The underlying thing may be that your nervous system is not convinced that it wants to be mutilated instead of regulated.

I close my eyes and focus on my breathing during unpleasant medical procedures, trying to get myself into a meditative state of mind. I’ve also used breathing techniques I learned from our Bradley method childbirth classes.
