get through this procedure. They used topical numbing cream, *and* I was on 2mg lorazepam, but that still didn't work. Does anybody have any suggestions, even if creative or hard to pull off? I'm kinda desperate.

Antiperspirants, iontophoresis; oral glycopyrrolate and oral oxybutynin; topical glycopyrrolate (much less evidence for this)

Needles are designed to hurt you, so needlephobia is totally sane. That said, any physcologist should be able to help you get over the needlephobia.

This product helps confuse your nerves as to what exactly is going on. It probably won't do much for the pain associated with injection, but may help with the phobia of needles going in. https://buzzyhelps.com/

Check if they are using the highest-gauge (thinnest) needle possible—can make a big difference in pain. Also, for the fingers, you can get a nerve block at the base of each finger—makes the finger completely numb, not just the surface. Probably some way to do the palm, too.

See if they can administer ketamine or nitrous during the procedure, much like some dentists do.

It's not just the numbing effects, but also the disassociative ones that make both these useful.
