Seriously, I though proponents of capitalism should at least be aware that for the system to work, there needs to be winners and losers and not everyone can be a winner.
i was just reading in Sapiens, talking about the shift in the economic system that happened mostly due to people 'believing in growth' - or that anticipating the future will be better than the past allowed people to trust that everyone could be winners, which made economy grow.

Still, there will be losers because of that belief because either their ideas are bad or poor management. There are definitely some ideas better than others so there must be losers no matter. A badly run business almost always fails.

It's not always bad ideas/management, either, though that often is the case. In a free market, you have people who will seize an advantage & have no interest in helping others, & will stack the deck against them. No way to stop that. 1/
