I'm subscribed to a wide variety of political subreddits, but usually if I see a post and read the comments and go "yeah that sounds reasonable" I scroll up and the sub is typically r/libertarian. I've got libertarianitus and I'm enjoying it.

"that sounds reasonable" has very limited use in politics, and most (not all) rationalists (and libertarians) are politically quite terrible and terrifying

Both experience and clear perception. There are limits to the effectiveness of logical reasoning and empiricism in the humanities. Idk about you but rationalists tend not to recognize that people's behaviour and existence can't and don't need to be justified, for example.

I'm sure lots of libertarians do have grossly oversimplified views around conflict, yeah. A lot of people agree with me in ways that are simplistic and generally bad (and I'm sure you too)
