I'm subscribed to a wide variety of political subreddits, but usually if I see a post and read the comments and go "yeah that sounds reasonable" I scroll up and the sub is typically r/libertarian. I've got libertarianitus and I'm enjoying it.

Both experience and clear perception. There are limits to the effectiveness of logical reasoning and empiricism in the humanities. Idk about you but rationalists tend not to recognize that people's behaviour and existence can't and don't need to be justified, for example.

I'm hesitant whenever anybody claims 'clear perception.' I generally agree there's limits of logical reasoning and this is a rationalist failure mode. This also doesn't really describe most rationalists I know (and i live in the bay in a big rat group house)

maybe? I'm not sure how involved you're in in the community. I definitely think there are sections of the community that have the failure you described; other sections talk a lot about it and are branching into other things.
