The Jeffrey Epstein suicide/murder is a really cool example of narrative power on large scales. Both situations are plausible - I wouldn't be terribly surprised if either turned out to be true - but one of the options is way more exciting, which probably helps its popularity.

A guy who was described as 'intelligence' to state attorneys, collected blackmail, was living with the daughter of an intelligence agent dies under unclear circumstances that are unusual because it looks more like he was strangled. Excitement, right!

Sure - there's tons of incentive to kill him, I agree. In general though, if "someone in serious trouble commits suicide" is really common. This is why both scenarios seem plausible - one has lots of incentive, and the other is commonly seen.

Even if he had indeed committed suicide, it would have been a statistical fluke and should be treated as such. In a 1000 worlds exactly like ours, 99.9% it was a murder - our single, faulty observation shouldn't disprove that

The thing that I always thought was funny is only Hilary or Trump is being blamed, but Epstein most likely has dirt on powerful leaders all around the world. There’s more than a few that wanted him quiet.

What about a third option- he did kill himself, but the circumstances which made it possible were somehow manufactured via conspiracy. Best of both worlds?

People live in a Hollywood movie. They think the Clintons’ have access to Jason Bourne type assassins. Nothing is going to come of this. He killed himself.

The two sides aren’t even close to equal. Evidence points to suicide. Only expert claiming murder was hired by the family. The family has financial interests in that narrative, namely, to protect his wealth from lawsuits.

People look for meaning where there is none. JFK’s assassination can’t just be what it was, a fame-seeking kook with a gun, it has to be a massive plot. Epstein’s death can’t just be what it was, a coward taking a coward’s way out, is has to be that They silenced him.
