there's a weird kind of economic security in having worked as an escort. I don't want (or expect) to be in a situation where it's my only option, but if I were truly desperate I could always fall back on that and make $$$ quickly

my parents were super worried that my openness about having worked as a prostitute would impact my career — I'm sure there are false negatives out there, but AFAICT it has been neutral-to-positive in the tech industry
