For those growing up with two parents in the same household, did your father find it very important to do things like "sit at the head of the table" or "be the one who is driving" or "be the one who holds the TV remote"?

My dad is typically the driver, but he likes driving best & has the most experience. It always seemed like a skill/enjoyment match more than a "I'm the man and must be the one driving," thing, if that makes sense.

Not even a little. He saw my mom as a partner. He did just as much cooking and housework. They both made the same amount of money. He grew up in a house where his stepdad was abusive and held everyone under his boot. I don't think he ever wanted to live in that kind of home again

My Dad always had his sportsball on. Which my mom made clear she disliked. Still hates it when sports are on. Other then that and managing the money it was a pretty equal leadership of the house.

Interesting. As a single child of divorced parents there was none of that sort of stuff as there were usually only dad and me. His father was one of those, though. Brittle New Englander for whom it was always winter 1933 Or 1833.

I was thinking about the mathematics behind the impact of such a “Results/Other” option might have on the consistency of the other results, and I think we can get back to the real results by for answer in {w, x, y}, answer += z / 3, where z is the see answers result.
