If a lesbian isn't attracted to passing trans women, do you consider this closer to 'how sexual orientation works' or to 'subconscious biases'?

Sexual orientation...assuming that the trans women in question look more like women than they do men.

*Correction: I misread the tweet. If the lesbian *isn't* attracted, then it would be if the trans women looked more like men than women.

Do they know this person is trans, or is this a 'stranger on the street' situation?

Or just a personal preference? Like being attracted to tall or short or thin or thick. Which isn't really either of those things.

I believe a straight woman is potentially uninterested in a man in the same way that she would be uninterested in a woman

I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking. If it’s all trans women then she would have to know they are trans and therefore it’s bias. If she doesn’t know they are trans then it couldn’t be all trans women.

Confused by the premise here. Does the lesbian lose interest in passing trans women upon finding out they’re trans, or do her criteria for finding women attractive just happen to rule out all trans women by happenstance?
