I've recently been exploring therapy for my productivity issues - three sessions with two different therapists, and have been disappointed and surprised to find that the sessions are significantly less effective than basic techniques many of my friends use to help each other.

What you can expect from three sessions depends on the style of therapy. CBT: might get somewhere, I gather--never done it--to, say, desensitize a phobia. Psychodynamic therapy, three sessions isn't enough to know if you've got the right therapist. Your objectives?

The ones I saw were mindfulness based and one was really into NARM, which I don't know very much about. My objectives are to reduce an anxiety block I sometimes have when trying to complete tasks such as answering emails or writing a book.

#empathy The search can feel harsh and pointless. Two Questions: What qualities would support your heart and soul being in healthy relationship w/ the anxiety? What does your physical body need to feel safe when in anxiety? Specific position, stretch, be held, sound, temp, etc?
