You know how sometimes you agree with something, but over time you really start to get gutpunched by how true it is in a way you couldn't deeply feel before?
This is happening for me lately but with 'how much society is lying to itself about almost everything'

This is true in general, but especially rampant in American culture's fervent love affair with dishonesty.

See, one of the pros/cons (both at the same time) of being on the autism spectrum is that I realized this by about 6 years old.
People on the spectrum don’t tend to handle these sorts of lies well, and it’s a large factor as to why they have difficulty interacting with society.

Yeah, still not over the ‘07 government-insurance-bank fraud that caused a global financial collapse and subsequent bail out using taxpayer money

Douglas Murray just wrote a fantastic book in which he explores this exact topic. That being said, it's an odd feeling. That has happened to me where i see unintended incentive structures in pretty much all things.
