Joke's on you, I may make more than 35k per year but my total net wealth is way negative thanks to student loans. Wealth != Salary.

What is the cutoff for the 1% in Boston? Or local cost of living? Context matters. I'm not living in a economy where 35k is a lot. But in rural India it would be a opulent.
