I had a consultation for plastic surgery today! I think I carry a lil social shame from 'caring so much about my appearance.' I'm not sure I actually mind my appearance so much as it feels incredibly advantageous to be more attractive, particularly if I'm public-facing.

I'm familiar with beauty bias. What actual advantages/opportunities might this open up for you when you're already an outlier in looks and smarts. I've experienced communities where beauty status optimizations are a norm and they are miserable places vs status oblivious clusters.
