You'd essentially need another shoulder to go along if it should really be fully functional. And good luck finding clothes that fit or learning how to get into them (I'd suggest something that is wrapped around the body, probably a lot more affordable than custom made stuff)

If I traded my right eye, which is the more shortsighted one, I'd still have more or less full strength of sight (in theory) with glasses, but since it's my primary eye, it'd likely give me one hell of a headache for however long the brain takes to adjust that one. And the left..
-
... eye is the stronger one, so giving that up means I lose a lot more than half. Not sure how much depth perception I have to lose to begin with, but still... no deal.

I think the best reason not to is aesthetics. For most other purposes it sounds like a good deal! The depth perception cost of having only one eye is overrated.
-
Yeah, but if you have only one eye, and you lose it, you end up blind. Meanwhile, a third arm wouldn't be particularly useful to most people, exceptions being certain craftsmen, builders, etc.

I already have a third eye. It came from having abusive parents and my brain needing to learn to read people like a book. It was an attribute/self-defense mechanism my mind learned on its own. My brain evolved itself. Later in life, I took acid. Opened that ability even more.
