I knew a lesbian who would hit every "T" at the end of a word very hard. It was striking to me. She had a bit of a raspy voice, with a good deal of resonance, and came across as sort of a very masculinized tomboy.

I'm more interested in how women can "get away" with being gay but Men seem to branded by it. Not as big a deal when women came out in Hollywood for instance. Not as many "She was out with a WOMAN!" Tabloid stories.
