Do you feel less instinctive empathy for people who are very unattractive? Not including people you know personally, but faint acquaintances or "people on the news" do count.

I voted too quick and now I wonder if perhaps the way I read the option I picked might not be the way you intended it to be read. In that case, it might be honest and still misleading. How do you define 'empathy' in this context? And attractiveness?
-
Because I assumed empathy meant something like feeling for them if they're miserable or went through sth horrible or sharing their joy, but that doesn't seem to work with your instinctiveness-description?

Empathy for their being unattractive generally? Bc otherwise it’s hard to think of whether or not I’m empathetic without being tied to a specific situation. Or maybe that’s just me.
-
That's the third aspect I have trouble with: empathy with what? Their way of dressing? I mean, empathy sharing someones feelings (to some extent) or respecting feelings I cannot really comprehend myself despite the lack of common experience or such things.

I don’t think it’s related to their attractiveness and I can’t really do the integral in my head. Obviously it’s not the same for everyone i see but attractiveness doesn’t move it. What answer is that?

By this do you mean- "before you have the time to factor in the inherent disadvantage they started off with" ? Cause thats often automatic for me
