What's a term or word that at first felt very empty to you, but later on gained meaning? One for me is 'holding space.' I used to think people who said that were hippies with some brain mash going on, but now it's a super real and useful term for me.

This helps my understanding, thanks. I'd describe this as "being present" or "empathising" - is it near to those concepts for you, or does something distinguish it?

On difference is that there's an element of articulating and protecting the boundaries of the session. 'We are empathizing and being present until this reaches a safe stopping point, and nothing will disrupt us until then.'
