Is the point that women should only have rights and be afforded respect, if they’re willing to have sex? Or is it if other people are willing for them to have sex? I’m not clear on that point.

Not at all! I think women should absolutely have respect if they're not willing to have sex. Just, that if we are going to view them as having agency/power/maturity, we should also probably respect their decisions around their own body, too, that they can consent if they want to.

I agree - there seems to be some manipulation and power involved with age differences. I agree that this often leads to really bad things. I also question a lot around this - for example, why we consider some manipulation bad but others fine. I just want consistency.
