It's much closer to an identity for me. It feels utterly beyond my ability to shut off. As soon as I heard what poly was I instantly knew that was me, no question, and I've never once felt any doubt about it since that moment. I can't imagine myself monogamous.

Polyamory has nothing to do with commitment or lack thereof, to me. I also definitely don't expect one person to satisfy me always, that seems really unrealistic and unhealthy expectation. Nobody is a 'perfect match' for the other.
