Do you ever get "body cry response"? Like, where you don't feel much mentally but your body gets shakey and you shed some tears for a few seconds before being totally fine again? If so, does anything in particular trigger this?

Just, never see it? In nearly every single romantic relationship portrayed on screen, it's never even questioned that the couple is supposed to be monogamous. In the rare times where even a little flexibility shows, it just hits me right in the gut.

1/2 This could be related to alexithymia. Sometimes when I'm more stressed/dysphoric then I realize, if someone asks me how I feel—and means it—I produce tears with no conscious explanation or association. But I also, on occasion, laugh hysterically sans appropriate stimulus.

2/2 Could be a muted or subclinical pseudobulbar affect, AKA emotional incontinence (rather a droll label). This phenomenon is associated with ADHD and a number of other neuro-atypicalities.
