Do you ever get "body cry response"? Like, where you don't feel much mentally but your body gets shakey and you shed some tears for a few seconds before being totally fine again? If so, does anything in particular trigger this?

My triggers are media representations of polyamory (extremely rare!), psychedelics, and gay people during the early years of the fight for gay rights. Also real videos of births. The body cry response also happens way more on airplanes. V for vendetta slayed me in the air.

Just, never see it? In nearly every single romantic relationship portrayed on screen, it's never even questioned that the couple is supposed to be monogamous. In the rare times where even a little flexibility shows, it just hits me right in the gut.

1/2 This could be related to alexithymia. Sometimes when I'm more stressed/dysphoric then I realize, if someone asks me how I feel—and means it—I produce tears with no conscious explanation or association. But I also, on occasion, laugh hysterically sans appropriate stimulus.
