I’ve wondered about this. My experiences at 100-125 have been mind blowing. I can’t fathom 500+.
I’d guess it has to do with how efficiently your brain handles the release and uptake of dopamine and serotonin, which can change over time and can be changed by psychedelic use.

When I was eating acid all the time, I was pretty regularly doing ~400ug doses. Nowadays I'm holding on for dear life at 100ug.
I was still extremely nonfunctional at 400 though, like just rolling around on the ground crying.
I’m a borderline invalid on 125 😂 I can think and write, but I can barely move or talk.
