I don't mind designer stuff, some is super good, and if you've got the money, go forth and signal, my child.
But LV bags seem low status to me, despite their price. Maybe I just see too many on women riding in economy on airplanes? Does anybody else have this association?

I think I've been subconsciously associating the bags with new-rich, or assuming they're fakes, or assuming the owners have no taste.

I can't remember the song, but I remember a rapper talking about how LV was passé. I haven't heard it referenced positively in a rap song made after 2004-5 IIRC.

LV bags seem like heavy signalling to me - they're instantly recognizable and often are huge and have the logo plastered all over them. I assume affluent and thrifty people are subtler and not the type of people to use LV bags.

I feel it too, an LV logo bag also screams new money to me, they’re tacky. 🙃

I think, at least for some women, LV Bags are just a way to feel better in a hard life.
I don't want to judge about that.
