My ideal system (and one I'd like to move towards, politically), is where the incentive structure of the system is such that the natural incentives you have to fill your own needs, *also* results in others getting their needs met, as naturally and organically as possible.

I would love for things to be like this. But it counters the fundamental logic of evolution and life. Eventually all creatures compete for access to limited resources. Players (Organisms or groups) that tend to be greedy regarding resources will out compete these who won't

This is true! I think some 'shit end of the stick' is inevitable, but I'm not sure where it'll pop up. It might be that the internal system will be fantastic, but the competition comes at huge scales, like among nations. Secondly, resources are getting less limited.

Agree with the first part, and with time we do manage to extract more resources, But as life can multiply exponentially the demand for resources will quickly absorb all surplus. It feels too fundamental to change, hope I'm wrong.
