I'm confused about UBI, most smart people I know think it's not that feasible/helpful. I can't help but suspect people like Musk or Yang are playing some other game in promoting it.

I don't think Musk is necessarily in favor of UBI, he just thinks it's going to happen when automation produces most things in abundance and workers aren't needed.
