lol when prostitutes/escorts are portrayed as sex-hungry in media, like they're a good eyebrow raise away from sucking your dick. Like I could waggle a wrench in front of a plumber and he just starts compulsively checking all my pipes.
I think that last one is actually more accurate than you might think, I think a lot of people in repair-focused jobs actually have a strong drive to fix things up.
This seems broadly reasonable for basically all professions, including the OP's example. People who enjoy programming in general will be more likely to want to make a job of it. Same with people with a high sex drive.
damnit. should have picked something like 'accounting'.
I haven't noticed any higher sex drive in (the many) girls I know who do or have done sex work, personally, tho I haven't run a study or anything.
Fair point, you have more knowledge than me for sure. I was envisioning things like James Deen saying he wanted to be in porn since age 8, but obviously many other factors play in, and this filter, if it exists, may only cut off the very lowest-libido people.
Accountants would react as well. Small biz owner says he's confused about taxes. Or thinks his fin stmt is wrong. Or unsure about budgeting. What does his accountant buddy do? People like being useful; elevates status. That's the diff here.
