[I disagree with:] Women have been doing sex work forever. Prostitution is the 'world's oldest profession', and marriage for love is a pretty new thing. If government's going to get involved, it should only be to improve safety; criminalizing sex between adults helps nobody.

Close, but the argument feels weak to me. 1. doing stuff forever doesn't make it good, I'd never use that argument 2. i'm doubtful of the government even getting involved for safety purposes 3. it def helps some people, but that's not the point
