I'm totally down with being worried about climate change, but I notice I haven't actually talked to anybody who disagrees with "climate change is real and/or bad", and I'd like to - if you're a climate change nonbeliever, pls argue for your position in response to this tweet!

It's kinda fast but only on a geological timescale. Humans are fully capable of moving cities or enormous amounts of people faster than sea levels can rise, among other things

A climate shift that happens within a few hundred years is pretty fast on the historical timescale but almost nothing on the human timescale. And a volcanic climate change is far bigger than anything humans have done and happens far faster.

Do you even read your own links? “The Earth's climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat, with the abrupt end of the last ice age about 7,000 years ago”
